After the 2018 season and a Super Bowl participation, Goff was famously moved by the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Matthew Stafford, who won a title in his first season playing quarterback for Los Angeles.
As Goff finished 4-16-1 in his first 21 starts with Detroit, many people questioned if he would ever be able to start in the NFL. However, Goff's performance this season may have been his best overall, signal-caller Dan Campbell of the Lions has maintained that he thinks the quarterback is skilled enough to lead the team to a Super Bowl. Furthermore, it's important to highlight Goff's return to his Bay Area roots. He excelled as a collegiate quarterback for the California Golden Bears and was a standout high school player in the San Francisco area before being selected first overall in the NFL Draft.
