In Week 16, the AFC and NFC face off as the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers renew their intrastate rivalry on CBS and Paramount+. Following a three-game losing streak, the Jaguars are hoping to turn things around. In contrast, Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers—who have won three straight, including a 34–20 triumph over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15—can be deemed to be in good standing.
In their past two games and six of their previous eight overall, the Buccaneers have covered. Mayfield, who threw for 381 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions, is coming off one of his best games in the NFL. Tampa Bay has also just emerged victorious from two away games, so the Bucs should feel comfortable hosting a regressing Jaguars squad at home.
Jacksonville will play a really desperate game in an attempt to turn things around. But in their last 15 games played in December, the Jaguars have a 3-12 record.
