Seattle Seahawks preview:

The Seahawks appeared to be preparing for a rebuilding deal of nine-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson for a plethora of picks and players throughout the winter. Smith, however, showed that he was willing to give starting quarterbacking another shot. He completed passes for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns with 11 interceptions while leading an offense that was ninth in the NFL in points scored (407).

He received a contract extension this summer as a result of his outstanding play, and the skill players that surround him are DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Kenneth Walker III, and Zach Charbonnet. The secondary could gain from the addition of Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon, whom Seattle selected No. 5 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, as the defense also demonstrated notable improvement in the latter stages of the game.

Los Angeles Rams preview:

The Rams seem destined for rebuilding, but they still have Aaron Donald, perhaps the best defensive player in the NFL, and Matthew Stafford, a seasoned veteran quarterback. Despite struggling with injuries during the 2022 season, Stafford had an incredible first year in Los Angeles, helping the Rams win a Super Bowl while completing 67.2% of his throws for 4,886 yards, 41 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 102.9.

Similar to Stafford, Donald struggled with injuries in 2022, but when he was in the game, he was a disruptive force. For the first time since 2016, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year was unable to record ten sacks, but he is back to full strength going into the 2023 campaign.
