Detroit Lions what to watch:

Though Minnesota still has a chance to make the playoffs, it needs to win in addition to the Packers, Seahawks, Buccaneers, and Saints losing. In their last six games, the Vikings have only once covered the spread while starting three different players at center.

This season, Detroit has been among the NFL's most lucrative teams, covering the spread at a rate of 11-5 while winning the division. In addition, the Lions have covered in 12 of their previous 15 divisional games; on Christmas Eve, they defeated Minnesota 30–24 as road favorites. The Vikings have only covered three times in their last ten divisional games, whereas they have now covered in six of their previous games against their opponents.

Minnesota Vikings what to watch:

The Lions would need both Philadelphia and Dallas to lose this weekend in order to secure the No. 3 spot. That might make this a low-key game for Detroit, especially considering their painful loss to the Cowboys the previous week.

In their last nine games against NFC opponents, the Vikings have covered the spread six times, and they have won nine of the last 12 encounters between these two teams. Despite missing seven games due to a hamstring injury, wide receiver Justin Jefferson needs 118 yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth time in his career. Two weeks prior, he had a touchdown and 141 yards from six grabs against the Lions.
