New York Jets what to watch:
The quarterback play in New York last season was atrocious, which severely hindered the offense. The Jets moved to get Rodgers for this reason.
This season, the key concern is whether the offensive line can support Aaron Rodgers to advance the offense to new heights.
With the exception of the guard positions, where Laken Tomlinson and Alijah Vera-Tucker are both dependable starters, the Jets have a lot of questions surrounding them. Duane Brown, a 38-year-old left tackle, just had shoulder surgery.
Buffalo boasts the third-best run defense in the NFL, so there's not much reason to believe that the Jets' offensive line can successfully run it against them.
Buffalo Bills what to watch:
The Bills made an effort to strengthen their offensive this offseason in an effort to avoid showings like that one. They selected O'Cyrus Torrence to start at one guard position and signed Connor McGovern, who was cut by the Cowboys, to start at the other. They added Deonte Harty to the roster to add depth at receiver after trading up to pick Dalton Kincaid in the first round. They signed Damien Harris away from the Patriots and moved on from Devin Singletary and Zack Moss, giving James Cook more of the reins.
Allen's potential as a rushing danger is one way Buffalo might gain an advantage. Last season, he had six intended runs for 53 yards and a touchdown against the Jets; against designed QB runs, New York gave up 6.8 yards per carry.
