Washington Commanders what to watch:
In Week 1, the Commanders defeated the lowly Arizona Cardinals in a close contest that left many believing they were fortunate to win. But this Washington team shown that they were not going to back down after making a huge comeback in Week 2 while playing on the road and facing altitude difficulties.
The fact that the offense flourished under new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was one of the Commanders' two main conclusions from their victory. Sam Howell, the team's 23-year-old quarterback, passed for 299 yards and two touchdowns without giving up a single yard of yardage. The offense finished with 388 total yards.
The second is that Chase Young, the defensive rookie of the year in 2020, is back on the field. Young was injured last year and only appeared in three games. He finished with 1.5 of Washington's seven sacks in his season debut.
Buffalo Bills what to watch:
The 1-1 Buffalo Bills travel to Washington, D.C. for Week 3 of the 2023–24 NFL calendar to play the unexpected 2-0 Commanders.
With +1000, the Bills are the fifth-best Super Bowl favorites; on the other hand, the Commanders have been steadily climbing the ladder, and after their incredible 18-point comeback against the Denver Broncos last week, they now have +7500 futures odds.
Buffalo is widely favored this week, which is not surprising given their convincing victory over the Raiders at home. The Bills, who rank sixth in total yardage on both the offensive and defensive ends, have played well on both sides of the ball.
Buffalo's defense got to work after allowing Las Vegas to score a touchdown on the opening drive. They stopped the run game, limited Jimmy Garoppolo to 185 passing yards, and forced three turnovers.
Just one week after making four mistakes, Josh Allen also recovered with a strong performance. Allen scorched the Raiders' defense with three touchdown touchdowns and 31-for-37 passing for 274 yards. He also dispersed the ball, hitting nine distinct receivers with his passes.
