San Francisco 49ers what to watch:
Over the previous two seasons, San Francisco is 12-6 against the spread as a home favorite and has shown itself to be one of the most complete teams in the league this season. The 49ers rank third in the NFL in terms of scoring offense (28.9 points per game) and points allowed (17.5). In terms of turnover margin, they are plus-10 compared to the Packers' even. Defenses have a difficult time stopping the San Francisco attack because it features two MVP contenders in the backfield and a wide range of skilled pass-catchers.
The Packers defense, which gives up 128 running yards a game, will be tested by NFL rushing champion Christian McCaffrey. Quarterback Brock Purdy can make Green Bay pay if they give up on stopping McCaffrey. George Kittle, a tight end, and Brandon Aiyuk are Purdy's two 1,000-yard receivers. Additionally difficult to stop is Deebo Samuel, a versatile receiver, and McCaffrey has 562 receiving yards.
Green Bay Packers what to watch:
With quarterback Jordan Love having been on a tear, Green Bay demonstrated last week that it will not be afraid. Love completed his first full season as a starter by throwing for 4,159 yards and 31 touchdowns during the regular season. Last Sunday, he added 272 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, Aaron Jones ran for 118 yards, his fourth straight game with 100 yards or more, and scored three times. Dallas suffered its first home loss of the season at the hands of the Packers, whose 48 points matched for the second-most by a road team in playoff history.
Over the last nine games, Jordan Love has thrown 21 touchdown passes and one interception, going 7-2. The Packers have won the last four straight up games and are 7-4 ATS as an underdog this season. In addition, Green Bay boasts the most receiving yards and touchdowns by first- and second-year players in an NFL season. This speaks highly of their youthful receiving group. Last week, rookie tight end Luke Musgrave got 52 yards and a touchdown, while second-year player Romeo Doubs had 151 receiving yards.
