Cincinnati Bengals what to watch:
The Bengals, who defeated the Jaguars on Monday Night Football in Week 13, are also fresh off an overtime victory. With a brilliant performance in primetime, rookie quarterback Jake Browning preserved their postseason aspirations. He will now attempt to outduel Gardner Minshew.
Following his roadside lights-out performance in Jacksonville, Browning's confidence must be through the roof. He made NFL history by becoming the first quarterback to ever throw for more than 350 yards, run for at least 20 yards, and complete more than 85% of his throws all while rushing for a touchdown.
Though we shouldn't anticipate a repeat performance in Week 14, Browning might have a great game against the Colts' subpar defense. Indianapolis' defense, which is ranked 26th in yards allowed and 27th in points allowed, is among the worst in the league.
Indianapolis Colts what to watch:
The 6-6 Cincinnati Bengals and the 7-5 Indianapolis Colts will square off in Week 14 of the 2023 NFL calendar as two AFC playoff contenders using backup quarterbacks.
The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans 31-28 in overtime in Nashville, and now they go to Cincinnati on a four-game winning streak. In the AFC South, they are currently just one game behind the 8-4 Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Colts are not as talented as their record indicates; they have been dominating poor teams lately. They have defeated teams with losing records in their last five victories, but they will face a formidable road opponent in Cincinnati this week.
