Arizona Cardinals what to watch:
Arizona, a squad that was picked to finish last this season, gave it their all in Jonathan Gannon's first game as coach, but the Commanders prevailed four points in the end. In addition to scoring a touchdown, the Cardinals' defense sacked Sam Howell six times and limited Washington to 248 yards overall. Arizona's offensive woes continued, as they managed just 210 yards overall behind new quarterback Joshua Dobbs' 132 yards passing on 21 completions.
James Conner, an experienced running back, gained 62 yards on 14 rushes and only eight yards from five receptions. Rondale Moore and Marquise Brown, two wide receivers, each caught three receptions for a total of 61 yards. Dobbs frequently targeted the tight ends for Arizona; Trey McBride and Zach Ertz combined for eight catches and 44 yards receiving. If Arizona wants to win for the first time in 2023, its offensive needs to be more effective against the Giants.
New York Giants what to watch:
When facing one of the best teams in the NFL on Sunday night, it would be difficult for the Giants to perform worse than they did. They take on a Cardinals team on Sunday that is most likely going to be in the running for the top overall pick in April of next year. Daniel Jones, the quarterback for the Giants, needs to improve if they are to resume their winning ways. Against Dallas, Jones only managed to throw for 104 yards and dash for 43.
The Cardinals may have a difficult day if they are unable to restrict running back Saquon Barkley. On Sunday night, Barkley ran for 51 yards and caught three catches for 12 yards; but, in order for New York's offense to be at its best, Barkley's total yardage will probably need to surpass 100. During his combined 100+ yards of receiving and running last season, New York finished 7-2.
