Week 9 2023 NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers what to watch:

In this game, Pittsburgh's offense might find its footing. With only eight turnovers this season, Pittsburgh is in the top 10 and the Steelers are in third place in the NFL with only two fumble losses. Tennessee leads all teams in interceptions while the Titans sit in the bottom five with just six defensive takeaways. This season, Mike Vrabel's squad has allowed less total yards than usual, and Pittsburgh boasts a potent weapon in rising star George Pickens.

Over the last three games, the gifted wide receiver has averaged 86.3 receiving yards per game, including two games with 100 yards or more. Pickens has 522 yards and 20 first downs in seven games this season, ranking second in the NFL in yards per reception.

Tennessee Titans what to watch:

With Will Levis starting as quarterback, Tennessee hopes to build on the aerial attack that helped the team establish itself in Week 8. Against the Atlanta Falcons, the rookie quarterback from Kentucky got off to a perfect start, throwing for 238 yards and four touchdowns without giving up a pass. With four passing touchdowns in his first game, Levis became only the third player in NFL history. His ability to stay out of trouble is crucial for a Tennessee offense that has only committed eight turnovers in even games.

The Titans have a proven star on the outside to ease Levis' workload, and behind Derrick Henry, they are also strong on the ground, averaging 4.5 yards per rush this season. DeAndre Hopkins, a five-time Pro Bowl nominee, made history last week by becoming the first athlete in thirty years to catch three touchdown passes from a quarterback in his first NFL game. Hopkins finished with 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
