Philadelphia Eagles what to watch:
With Jalen Hurts as their quarterback, the Eagles are among the NFL's strongest Super Bowl hopefuls. Prior to sustaining an injury in the late part of the season, the former second-round selection was the overwhelming favorite to win MVP. Hurts has completed 67.7% of his throws for 640 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions through three weeks of 2023. In addition, he has three touchdowns and 100 yards of rushing.
A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are perhaps the best wide receiver combination in the NFL at Hurts' disposal. Smith has 15 receptions for 206 yards and two touchdowns going into Week 3, compared to Brown's 20 receptions for 239 yards.
Washington Commanders what to watch:
Washington Commanders is a youthful club that has strength in a number of important areas. Terry McLaurin, a wide receiver, is one of the best pass catchers in the NFL and recently finished in the Pro Bowl. Brian Robinson Jr., a second-year running back for Washington, is averaging 4.6 yards per rush and appears to be another offensive lineman worthy of a Pro Bowl.
The defensive line, where the Commanders have previous first-round picks starting at all four spots, is their greatest asset. Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat, and Chase Young are all elite, Pro Bowl caliber players who could have a significant enough effect to keep this game close.
